OGA Coursework Levels

The 35-hour (4-day)  Classroom Educator course is intended for educators teaching in a general education setting. The Classroom Educator practitioner is certified by OGA to provide and adapt literacy instruction for the whole class or for small groups needing supplemental support. Click to learn more.

The 70-hour (parts 1-2), 8-day Associate Level course is intended for  practitioners working with struggling readers in Tier Two/Three instruction, including those with dyslexia in individual (tutorial) or small group settings. It is recommended that Associate members work under the mentorship of an OGA Fellow. Click to learn more.

Certified/Clinical Level coursework is intended for practitioners who have completed the Associate level training and practicum. The Certified Level expands and deepens the Associate Level concepts and equips the practitioner with the skills to address the needs of struggling readers of all ages, including those with dyslexia and more complex learning profiles, in any setting. This coursework will be presented in multiple parts over a two-year period. Click to learn more.

OG Brush-Up
4-hour self-paced course for those who already took OGA coursework 

Associate Level - Part 2
July 27-30, 2026
Monday - Thursday
8:00 am - 3:00 pm EST

Certified/Clinical Level 
*Associate Level, and prior approval, is a prerequisite. Coursework with be provided by Jennings Miller F/OGA and practicum supervision will be offered by
Kim Nau, F/OGA.
